Who is the training for?
For organisations looking to train or upskill teams, and for individuals seeking to enter the field in a professional, practical way.
What do the courses include?
Instructors from the field, real labs, international certifications, and personal placement support.
When does the next cohort open?
Opening dates are set when a group comes together. Leave your details in the form with the course you are interested in, or call 08-669-8400; we come back for a short call about your background and what you are after, and let you know when a cohort opens. An organisation training a team sets the dates with us.
What language is the teaching in?
The teaching is in Hebrew. The course materials are in English, and so are the vendors' certification exams.
I have no background in the field. Where do I start?
With a call. Some courses suit a start with no prior experience - Linux Administration and Python for network and security automation. On the call we go over your background and suggest a starting point.
Can we build a tailored track for your organisation?
Yes. We build tailored programs based on your needs, tools, and team level. With metrics and evaluation.
Is it possible to build a role-specific track?
Absolutely. Contact us and we'll build a program - from network technicians to CISO.
We want to send part of the team to one certification. How does that work?
Like this: a needs call about the background and the goal, dates and a format that suit the team - at the academy in Shoham, or hybrid, and a completion report for the manager.
Can the exercises use our own environment?
Yes. In a team training the exercises are built around the topology and the equipment the team runs at work. The practice itself runs in our lab or in a virtual lab.
Where is the certification exam sat, and who issues the certification?
The vendors' certification exams are sat at Pearson VUE test centres, and some of them also online under remote proctoring, by the vendor's rules. We help with registration and booking. Those who pass receive the certification from the vendor. Courses without a vendor exam end in a SpotAcademy certificate of completion.
How long is a certification valid?
It depends on the vendor: Fortinet certifications are valid for two years, Cisco certifications for three, Palo Alto Networks certifications for two. The details for each course are in the certification section of its page.
What is your relationship with the vendors?
The academy draws on SpotNet's vendor partnerships - Fortinet Select Partner, Splunk Partnerverse member - and on its engineers, who work on this equipment for customers and hold the certifications they teach. The courses are the academy's own, built to the exam topics the vendor publishes.
What equipment do we practise on?
On real equipment in the classroom in Shoham - firewalls and switches in the academy rack - and on virtual labs for larger topologies. What exactly, for each course, is in the lab section of its page.
Can I connect to the lab from home?
In the hybrid format the sessions that are not in the classroom work on virtual labs, and those are reached remotely, from home or from the office. The physical equipment is in the classroom in Shoham.
How much does a course cost?
The price depends on the track and the format - we send a proposal after a short call.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, payment can be spread - the details on the call.
