What you will be able to do

- Plan IPv4 and IPv6 addressing and subnet a network by hand

Prerequisites
Cisco sets no prerequisite for the exam; basic familiarity with computers and networks and technical English are enough to start.
The exam and the certification
The exam is Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (200-301 CCNA) v1.1 - one 120-minute exam in English, at a Pearson VUE test centre or online through OnVUE proctoring; grading is pass or fail and the result is online within 48 hours. The certification is valid for 3 years and is renewed by retaking the exam, passing a higher-level exam or earning 30 Continuing Education credits. Cisco has announced CCNA v2.0 for February 3, 2027, under the same 200-301 code; a cohort that opens late in 2026 studies to the version in force on its exam date.

How it is sat
Through Pearson VUE, in English - at a test centre or online with OnVUE. Grading is pass or fail, and Cisco Learning Credits are accepted as payment.
Validity
Three years. Recertify by retaking the exam, passing a higher-level exam, or Continuing Education credits - 30 at Associate level, 80 at Professional.
Booking and retakes
Booked and paid through Pearson VUE. A failed exam can be retaken after five calendar days; Cisco publishes the fees in US dollars, and the local price appears at booking.

The labs
Every session runs on a live topology: Catalyst switches in the academy rack in Shoham, routing and larger topologies in Cisco Modeling Labs on real Cisco images, and Packet Tracer for practice at home. You configure VLANs and trunks, EtherChannel, static routes and OSPF, NAT and DHCP, ACLs and SSH access, and then the network is broken on purpose and you find the fault. A group from an organisation builds its topology around the equipment the team runs at work.
